The Title of the episode 6.21 will be “The Haunter of The Dark – Part I”

Thanks to Andreas and Lere.

According to Andreas at LJ, the title of this episode was changed to:

6.21 – Let It Bleed

Thanks, Lere, for this info!

Change confirmed by Jim Beaver.

While clarifying the IMDB mistake that Jensen wrote the episode 6.21, Jim Beaver wrote this:

I think this is an example of someone playing fast and loose on IMDb. Sera Gamble has sole credit on the 6.21 episode script (now entitled Let It Bleed). WGA is very particular about these things. If Jensen had written any of this, his name would be on our scripts. No one on the show has said anything that I’ve heard about Jensen writing anything. If I find out differently, I’ll post something.

Episode Description:

DEAN’S WORST NIGHTMARE COMES TRUE – A demon kidnaps Ben (guest star Nicholas Elia) and Lisa (guest star Cindy Sampson) to get to Dean (Jensen Ackles). Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean are forced to join with an unlikely ally to free them.

John Showalter directed the episode written by Sera Gamble.

“There are some big obstacles that one of them has to overcome as we get nearer to the end,” he says. He also confirms that Lisa and Ben, Dean’s pseudo family from his year without Sam, will return in a very “interesting, high-stakes” way.

Question: What can you tell us about Lisa and Ben’s reappearance on Supernatural in the May 20 finale? —Bonnie

Ausiello: Their return will “test Dean’s resolve,” reveals exec producer Ben Edlund. “It’s going to [force] him to choose what kind of hero he’s going to be. As we always knew, one day or another, he was going to have to make some choices like that.”

“We heard pretty early that we should be prepared for them to air on the same night,” executive producer Sera Gamble says. “We had so many threads to tie up this season, we didn’t end up telling one story that stretches over two episodes. Instead, they work as companion pieces and separate episodes.” And while Gamble says both episodes are brother-centric and “very much about Sam and Dean coming together,” the first part deals primarily with Dean’s storyline this season, which found him struggling with his identity.

“He started this season completely out of the hunting life, and he has a lot of fears about the worst version of himself in that situation — who he could turn into and the bad he could do to other people,” she teases. “There’s a reason he has so few people in his life, and it’s because he has a lot of fears about what he could bring into their lives – what he could do to them. He has to face that in this episode.” Of course, on this show facing your fears tends to mean one thing. “We look at those issues through a Supernatural lens, which is fun because then they get really bloody,” she says with a laugh.

Ackles and Padalecki head back to Vancouver to continue working on episode 6×21, which is a Dean-centric episode. “Twenty-one I know is going to be a big one for me. Twenty-two is a big one for Jared’s character. The stakes are raised, the emotions are high.”

Both Gamble and Ackles shared on the press line that episode 21 would be a Dean-heavy episode, which will see the return of Lisa and Ben, while episode 22 will be more focused on Sam.

The two hour season finale will be airing with back-to-back episodes on May 20. We know that Sera Gamble wrote part 1, while Eric Kripke wrote part 2. In fact, he just turned in the script and it will start filming on Wednesday, which means the sixth season should be wrapped up in a matter of weeks. Executive producer Robert Singer will be directing the episode.

Kripke and Gamble had originally wanted to do the two-part finale as a sort of “movie”, but they turned out to be very episodic because there’s a lot of loose mythology threads that need tying-up. Each episode will have its own self-contained story and don’t necessarily flow together. The transition between the two hours won’t be seamless. Kripke warned “It will be awesome in reruns but for the two-hour people will be like ‘What?'”.

Gamble also confirmed to us that we have not seen the last of Lisa (Cindy Sampson) and Ben (Nicholas Elia) for season six. She wouldn’t say exactly how or when they return, but their presences will certainly be felt in the next few episodes as Dean struggles with the idea of heaven blowing up and a purgatory here on Earth.

So, we all know you went to the Supernatural panel at PaleyFest. So DISH! — Amanda

How ever did you know? It was probably the sound of the heaven’s opening up that alerted you. Anyway, to add to the season finale scoop I posted this weekend, Jim Beaver also told me that as we cruise through the rest of the season we can expect to see a lot more of a group dynamic, meaning more Bobby and Cas!! “The last few episodes of the season are very much a team effort. My sense of it is it’s not a lot of us going off on our separate ways. It’s a lot of us working together on the big questions facing us and we answer a few of them – but not all of them,” he said. As for what questions will be answered, he couldn’t say much, but offered up this extreme tease: “Certain relationships among the group have some rather climactic shifts. Don’t expect the four of us to all be relating the same way at the end of the season as we were at the beginning.” The sound you hear now, is my heart thumping in fear.

Despite a montage hinting that we’d reached a conclusion to the Lisa and Ben story, Ackles told me there will be a more definitive end to the story of Dean’s domestication and time with the mother-son pair. “That, I believe, is going to be a weak point or an achilles heel at some point,” he said. “There’s definitely a conclusion that comes, and it’s a very emotional conclusion.” And as we all know, their crying makes for the best episodes.

Question: I know I’m in the minority, but I loved Lisa and Ben on Supernatural! Any chance we will see them again? —Elena

Ausiello: “They will be back,” Jensen Ackles confirmed to TVLine at Paleyfest ’11. “I can’t say necessarily how, but that story will be explored and it will be explored heavily. I think there’s a part of [Dean] that was left with them. But I think he knows deep down that it would never work. And I think that’s going to be a very emotional situation that he’s going to have to deal with.”

According to Jim Beaver, Eric Kripke wrote the episode:

Between Sera Gamble’s penultimate script & Eric Kripke’s script for the season finale, SPN is going to blow minds. Didn’t see this coming.
