Felicia Day Examiner.com Interview

Official Description:

FELICIA DAY (“THE GUILD,” “EUREKA”) GUEST STARS — Dick Roman (James Patrick Stuart) acquires Frank’s hard drive that contains sensitive information about the Winchesters and gives it to an unsuspecting brilliant hacker named Charlie (guest star Day) telling her she has 48 hours to crack the firewall or she is fired. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are tipped off that Dick has the hard drive and race to get to Charlie before she breaks the code. Meanwhile, Bobby (Jim Beaver) tries to help the brothers, but his rage towards Dick for killing him starts to get in the way.

John MacCarthy directed the episode written by Robbie Thompson.

Exclusive First Look: Felicia Day Whips Out Her Supernatural Sword

Felicia Day may play a computer hacker on her upcoming episode of Supernatural, but she’ll wield more than just a keyboard.

In the episode, she’ll play a computer-savvy lady named Charlie whom the Winchester brothers meet while investigating Dick Roman (James Patrick Stuart), the billionaire who was taken over the by the leader of the Leviathans. Day’s character is a tech in one of his companies and somehow gets mixed up in Sam and Dean’s problems.

Check out these first looks at “The Girl With the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo”:

Hmm, we wonder why Charlie has a sword? Is it because she’s awesome? Or, perhaps as the episode’s title suggests, she may do a little D&D cosplay?

Supernatural returns with all-new episodes on Friday, April 20 on The CW. Day’s episode airs a week later.

At some point, they’ll get a little help from geek goddess Felicia Day, who will play a gifted computer hacker who “gets caught up in something that in her wildest dreams she never thought she would.” While incredibly pertinent to the season’s big arc, the episode, which just finished filming in Vancouver, is also a bit of a spin on the norm. “The boys have to enlist her help and particular expertise and that’s a leviathan, mythology-heavy episode. That episode has a fun, caper element to it,” Robert Singer says.

Exclusive: Felicia Day to Hack Into Supernatural

The Dungeon Master has orchestrated a fun adventure for Supernatural. Geek worlds collide in an upcoming episode when someone from the Whedonverse gets mixed up with the Winchester brothers.

Executive producer Sera Gamble tells TVGuide.com exclusively that Felicia Day will guest-star on the April 27 episode titled “The Girl With the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo.” “We were so stoked that she agreed to do the episode because we’re all fan girls and boys here,” Gamble says.

The title is a reference to the bestselling Steig Larsson crime novel The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and the acclaimed big-screen adaptation of the same name. Like Larsson’s protagonist, Day will portray a young woman who’s handy with a computer. Day has serious geek cred, not only appearing in numerous Joss Whedon projects such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and Dollhouse, but also created, wrote and stars in the original web series The Guild, about a guild of online gamers.

“Felicia plays a girl named Charlie who is sort of a lowly tech working in one of Dick Roman’s companies,” says Gamble. “She’s an amateur computer hacker and unwittingly gets wrapped up in Sam and Dean’s problems. It’s a classic story of an everyday girl who does not want to be in a whistleblower position.”

Dean (Jensen Ackles) has been obsessed this season with getting closer to Dick Roman (James Patrick Stewart), the billionaire who was taken over by the leader of the Leviathans, and Charlie could be the key to getting Dean closer to the corporate giant.
